My Cleaning Lady....

Mrs. Meyers.
I can't do it alone. And she smells wonderful.
She lifts my spirits and she's very natural.

She's like me. Uncomplicated. Her words, not mine.
Mmmmm. Cleaning machine. If only it could stay like this......in about 45 minutes it will be as if Mrs.Meyers and I did nothing but sit on our bums and play on facebook all day. And we didn't. What's the use if you don't get praise?

I only have a moment but I have to sing her praises! She will make your counters sparkle! Very worth whatever the price, I don't remember. Tell me Mrs. Meyers helps you too. Let's all drop the veil. We're all human and need help with the chores. For me it's Mrs. Meyer's clean day.

Oh yes and a cleaning lady once in a while......hush. She's not here nearly enough to keep up!

You can buy this pretty family because I am going to tell you where to get them. It's hard, you know. I feel like I'm giving up family members but since you're in my 'circle' I know they'll live a good life with you. Hurry. They are in a back alley. Behind a large green dumpster is a door with a sign that says, VaudevilleVintage. It's what they're calling the homes these days....

Now hush. Go, and be off with the orphans before I change my mind. But forever remember your promise to me! Do NOT SPLIT UP THE SIBLINGS! -LD

Or maybe not. I think that maybe this is the way to go. At first I was considering these delicious foods for Lola and Dahl. To play with. Now I think I will go shopping and buy me a pantry full! Stock my refridgerator with the goodies. And tout their goodness from the mountain tops!

Just think. They don't spoil and since I'm into this whole organic kick, what's more organic than felt wool? And imagine my waist. Reappearing! Now that's a thought to chew on.

Apologies for the interruption, the heavens seem to open up and a chorus of angels begin singing when I mention... well  you know who's cakes.

She makes the best not made of felt cakes this side of a computer screen! I have purchased them for babyshowers, bridal showers, my daughters' first birthday party, and I send them every year, religiously, to my childrens' pediatricians, and other very special doctors that treated my risky pregnancy with Lola and Dahl. I love their cakes, like the Earth loves the Sun's warmth. Probably more with that whole hole in the ozone layer issue and all.... LD

How to go green....I want to know

  I've been reading a lot about going green. I actually tried being a 'green mum' when my twins were born. Had no idea about it when my J was born just 8 years ago. Seems I wisened up a bit in just 5 short years, yet not enough! hehehe

I bought a whole stash of cloth diapers. I mean a stash! About $1000 worth, and tried 2 of them. Twice.

I just didn't really understand the intricate details of how to use them, what to buy, how to launder, etc. etc. and I fell prey to the fancy shmancy marketing. All of the websites touting,' These diapers are so easy your husband will love'em!

I rememeber getting my numerous boxes and showing my grandmum after telling her I planned on CD Dahl and Lola and she told me they were like any CD she'd ever seen! hehehe

Oh their bums did look particularly yummy! All full and padded. They looked like if you dropped them on their bums they'd bounce strait up and possibly hit the ceiling like a basketball for certain.

I adored the look. I adored the feel. Yet I felt very lost.

So I joined the many others and filled the landfills with yet thousand and thousand of disposables that will outlive many generations
Probably the only thing that will be around when my childrens' great x5 grandchildren are adults.

I want to get to the heart of what you ladies and any gents, consider being green. What do you do, things great or small, on a daily, weekly, monthly basis, that you feel would be easily incorporated by others, to keep the world a healthier enviornment for our children and future generations in general.

Just one or two things. Even if you haven't yet begun. If it's only something you've read. By sharing it, perhaps, maybe, just maybe, someone else will be inspired to begin this very day and you will, unknowingly have positively affected Mother Earth.

Now how's that for a start to the week!

well, I guess you can share. It is the stuff of fantasy. I've been busy working on some things for my friend Cheryl. I hope she loves them. I'll post a peek tomorrie for you all but be sure not to say anything to her.
